Vénerie is a private dining experience brought into your home or venue. A chef's table for an intimate evening, a long table for a celebration, or a reception for a room of guests.
We cook on site, in front of you. For one night your kitchen becomes ours, every dish made fresh and served to the table as it is finished.
You sit back with your guests, course after course, and all you have to do is enjoy it.
Vénerie serves Vancouver, Whistler, Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island. Your home, a private venue, a chalet, or a corporate space, we bring the kitchen and the team to you.

MENUS & SERVICE

Every menu is chef's choice, guided by the season. We build it around what is at its best the week you dine, so no two dinners are ever the same.
Tell us about your guests and the occasion, and we compose the rest.

How the food is served is up to you. We offer three styles:

Plated tasting menu. A six or nine-course meal brought to the table one plate at a time, paced through the evening. The most refined of the three, and the closest thing to a fine dining restaurant inside your own home.

Family-style. Generous dishes set down in the middle of the table to be shared and passed around. A more communal & comforting experience.

Canapés & reception. Small, refined bites carried through a standing room. Best for larger gatherings, or the first hour of a celebration before everyone sits down.

WINE & SOMMELIER-GUIDED PAIRINGS

Wine sits inseparable from the meal. Our pairings are led by Sean Nelson, named BC Sommelier of the Year in 2018 and the youngest Advanced Sommelier in Western Canada, who built the celebrated wine program at Vij's. Sean works alongside me as the menu takes shape, tasting each course and choosing the wine that best pairs with it, matched to aroma, texture, flavour, and depth.

Pairings are offered in three tiers, each a step up in rarity and pedigree.

Entry. Characterful, well-chosen wines that sit beautifully with each course. An approachable introduction to pairing, and a real pleasure to drink.

Réserve & Terroir. A deeper selection drawn from distinguished producers and singular sites, wines that carry the mark of the place they came from. For the table that wants to explore.

Grand Cru. The summit. Some of the most exclusive and sought-after wines in the world, from the wineries of British Columbia to the Grand Cru vineyards of Burgundy and beyond.

THE BAR

Cocktails are led by Dani Crowley of Drinking With Dani, Canadian national champion of the 2023 Giffard West Cup and a name featured in ELLE and Canada's Top 100.

In partnership with Vénerie, she builds a cocktail program for the evening, drinks made to suit the occasion and the season, each one as considered in presentation as it is in flavour.

Bar service scales to the event, from a focused list of signatures for an intimate dinner to full service for a celebration.
