My name is Krishna Patel, I am the chef and founder of Vénerie, which began as an obsession long before it became a service. The name belongs to the dated art of hunting, and that is how I am learning to understand this craft. A pursuit with no final destination. Sacrifice without desire. A belief in no limits.
I am drawn to fundamentals, to the basics. I cook the way I think and feel, by questioning everything. I am my food. A journey of mistakes has led me here. I could never be a great line cook. That is exactly why I am here.

A great chef once said the most important part of a restaurant is the environment you sit in, second to that the service, and third the food. I believe that.
The home is the truest environment there is, a reflection of the inner world. Behind closed doors, people become who they truly are. The service I leave to the exceptional team I work alongside. The food is what I handle.
